Technical Sales Engineer

Green’s are internationally renowned designers and manufactures of economisers, industrial boiler and waste heat recovery systems. Based on the same site in the heart of Wakefield for almost 200 years Green’s have an unparalleled design library and reputation within the field. Green’s are now looking to expand their team and continue to drive from the significant growth they have experienced over the last 5 years.

We have a new vacancy for a Technical Sales Engineer, you will have 2-3 year’s experience in a similar role within an Engineering company (preferably mechanical/thermal engineering), a basic understanding of design and manufacturing standards such as ASME/EN and hold an HNC/ONC or equivalent qualification in a related field.

You will be an excellent communicator who is presentable and comfortable in front of clients and works well as part of a sales team delivering large projects.

You must have a clean driving licence and a willingness for international and domestic travel. It is also beneficial to be multilingual but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully manage and coordinate domestic and international customer relationships, communicate well through email/phone and in person and be a comfortable presenter.
  • Produce high quality technical and commercial offers.
  • Produce robust cost estimates using proprietary programs and spreadsheets.
  • Obtain quotations for proprietary equipment from external suppliers.
  • Pro-actively seek out new market opportunities.

Marketing Executive

This is a new role for a great communicator with high energy, diplomacy, common sense and resilience and more than 5 years’ experience of working in marketing roles.

You will be working across an award-winning company comprising two manufacturing businesses with sites in Yorkshire, the Midlands and the North East that has ambitious growth targets

You will work with an external PR consultancy and be responsible for supporting the group to effectively market itself and grow a strong digital presence alongside an established sales and business development team.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who can implement a fresh marketing strategy with the drive and organisation skills to successfully deliver on this vision.  Strong copy writing skills are essential with proven ability to write in different styles to appeal to target audiences. This role also requires the ability to demonstrate research and analytical skills along with experience of:

  • SEO
  • Website management
  • Social media engagement
  • Supporting preparation of tender documentation
  • CRM software

You will work closely with people throughout the company from the senior management team to the factory floor so the successful individual will need the confidence to communicate effectively at varying levels.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a Private Equity backed business with access to significant board level experience and the opportunity to develop the role as the group continues to grow. Experience of working in the manufacturing sector is useful but not essential.

Service, Inspection & Repairs Supervisor

Our service team works on land and marine boiler plant all over the UK and globally. We are looking for a supervisor who can:
• Manage site work contracts ensuring they are completed within budget, on time and safely.
• Proactively contribute to the growth and development of the Aftermarket department.
• Prepare risk assessments and method statements in advance of sitework.
• Manage all HS&E aspects of sitework.
• Ensure site works are delivered to specified quality standards.
• Maintain daily reports whilst on site.
• Proactively make regular contact with existing customers as well as targeting dormant/potential customers to develop new sales
• Undertake site visits/surveys, gathering information to allow you to produce cost estimates and quotations.
Ideally you will have a good knowledge of the industry, market and its customer and be able to proactively help grow and develop the business.

Country Agents and Distributors

We are expanding our business further into new territories and markets and are looking to recruit new sales agents in the following:

  • USA – East Central areas, Countrywide (Land and Marine projects)
  • Russia (Land and Marine projects)
  • Japan (Land and Marine projects)
  • Norway/Sweden (Land and Marine projects)
  • South America (excluding Mexico) (Land based projects)
  • Canada (Land based projects)
  • Italy (Land based projects)

These agents will complement our existing worldwide agents and manufacturing locations and will work closely with our technical sales and engineering teams. Some territories have an established base of previous projects and existing relationships that our new agents can be introduced to.

We are seeking long term partnerships with businesses and individuals that have solid knowledge of the Power, Industrial, Waste to Energy, Petrochem and/or Marine markets. They will need to have a proven record in selling our range of products from designed, engineered and manufactured waster heat boiler and economiser to aftermarket services and spare parts.
